The Bucs defense was doing a good job stopping the short passes to Kupp in the flat, but the first time Stafford went down the field to Kupp it went for a 69 yard touchdown to give the Rams a lead which they would keep until the last 10 seconds of the game. If you can stop Cooper Kupp you can stop the Rams. The Rams offense has been all too predictable, and way too one dimensional over the first half of the season. The Bucs marched all the way down to the LA 3 yard line on the ensuing drive, but had to settle for a field goal to put the first points on the board. The first three and out came on the opening possession when Matthew Stafford and the Rams failed to move the chains and were forced into an early punt. There were a combined 13 three and outs between the Rams and the Bucs, and each team only entered the end zone once. The offensive struggles didn’t end for either team in western Florida. It was a matchup of two generational quarterbacks who are in the midst of their most challenging seasons of their careers. Sunday’s showdown in Raymond James Stadium featured the last two Super Bowl Champions, but neither team had looked like a Super Bowl contender going into Week 9. The Buccaneers trailed the Los Angeles Rams for the entire game, but Brady led the Bucs down the field on a last-minute, game winning touchdown drive. Tom Brady showed that he is still the best around when the game is on the line Sunday in Tampa Bay.
